«Что ж вы теперь из сумрака зовёте?» День национальной скорби российских немцев

Горе часто объединяет людей. Сближает вне зависимости от национальности, возраста, религиозных убеждений, уровня культурного развития. Так должно было произойти с советским народом при вероломном нападении нацистской Германии на СССР. Однако правящая власть решила иначе – поделила граждан одного государства на своих и чужих. «Чужими», в частности, оказались поволжские немцы.

Прошло 70 лет со времени одной из страшных трагедий в истории России – массовой депортации поволжских немцев в Сибирь и Казахстан. Большинство жертв этой государственной акции уже нет в живых: многие из них погибли еще в процессе депортации, в «трудармейских» концлагерях, «спецпоселениях». Они ушли из жизни зачастую обесчещенными, с позорным клеймом «фашистских диверсантов и шпионов». И в этой статье мне бы хотелось с помощью воспоминаний о случившемся, прежде всего, почтить светлую память этих невинных людей.

О депортации поволжских немцев долгое время замалчивалось, и мы знали о ней только благодаря рассказам очевидцев событий. Сегодня опубликованы законодательные акты, документы о депортации, свидетельства, воспоминания пострадавших, написано немало исторических трудов и литературных произведений. Но до сих пор в большинстве российских учебников по отечественной истории депортацию называют необходимым и вполне закономерным решением государственной власти, оставляя за кадром пережитые страдания и лишения немецкого народа.

На мой взгляд наиболее полно, ярко и достоверно описывает депортацию советских немцев политолог, общественный деятель Герхард Вольтер, умерший в 1998 г.. Он в своей книге «Зона полного покоя» тщательно обобщает увиденное воочию во время переселения его семьи из Донбасса в Акмолинскую область в сентябре 1941 г., и услышанное о депортации от десятка своих соплеменников, а также дотошно излагает содержание депортационных актов. В итоге Вольтеру удается воссоздать целостную картину произошедшего.

Геноцид или нет?

Указ Президиума Верховного Совета СССР «О переселении немцев, проживающих в районах Поволжья» от 28 августа 1941 года не только ликвидировал Автономную Республику немцев Поволжья и положил начало всеобщей депортации немцев из АССР, но и, по мнению некоторых современных историков, привел к геноциду по национальному признаку. По крайней мере, согласно признакам, сформулированным в статье II «Конвенции о предупреждении преступления геноцида и наказании за него», принятой ООН 9.12.1948 г. и ратифицированной СССР 18.03.1954 г. – геноцид немецкого населения не вызывает сомнений.

Однако оппоненты проводят в качестве аргумента аналогию с депортацией японских граждан в 1941-1942 гг. в США из западных штатов вглубь страны, и тем самым подводят к мысли, что ничего экстраординарного с российскими немцами, собственно говоря, не произошло. При этом, правда, обычно забывают отметить, что без вины виноватых американских японцев никто не лишал возможности вернуться в места прежнего проживания многие десятилетия после завершения Второй мировой войны и что, не в пример российским немцам, им давно и сполна возместили принесенные тогда тяготы.

Говорят много о пользе превентивных мер, и можно было бы с этим согласиться: во время войны не до сантиментов. Государственная безопасность требовала «перестраховки», и даже иллюзорная возможность того, что поволжские немцы окажут поддержку фашистским войскам вынудила власть применить столь суровые меры. Депортация не удивила ее современников – все помнили о репрессиях советской власти и регулярных «зачистках» врагов народа. Весь советский народ тяжело работал в тылу, перенес тяготы и лишения. Человеческая смерть стала нормой. Однако несправедливо до сих пор не говорить о фактах подъема патриотических сил среди немцев, пополнивших добровольно ряды народных ополченцев, отправляющихся на фронт. Более двух тысяч заявлений поступило от населения республики Поволжья в военкомат с просьбами о включении их в ряды красноармейцев.

Высказанное в литературе мнение, что депортация немцев Поволжья была актом слепой ярости и мести за поражения на фронте в первые месяцы войны, вряд ли имеет под собой основание, так как после завершения войны под депортацией не была подведена черта. Не успели поволжские немцы прийти в себя на первоначальных местах выселения, как их принялись перебрасывать в другие районы, где условия жизни и труда были зачастую еще хуже. Так, в Казахстане депортированных немцев переселяли вглубь безжизненных степей, а из южных районов Сибири повторно выселяли на Крайний Север для использования на рыбных промыслах, где массово погибли люди, причем в основном это были немецкие старики, женщины, подростки, которые не попали в трудармию.

Скорее всего, после катастрофических поражений первых месяцев войны сталинский режим остро нуждался в образе мощного «внутреннего врага», на которого советские вожди могли взваливать вину за что угодно. Кроме этого, депортированные трудолюбивые немцы стали дармовой «рабсилой» для каторжных работ в азиатской части СССР. С начала 1942 г. в трудармию (по официальной терминологии – «рабочие колонны»), на тяжелый труд на стройках, лесоповалах, промышленных предприятиях и шахтах, часто за колючей проволокой, была направлена основная часть российских немцев трудоспособного возраста. Вначале забирали депортированных немцев-мужчин, затем и немецких женщин. Число жертв трудармии точно неизвестно.

После завершения «трудармейской» эпопеи поволжские немцы еще 10 лет должны были жить в «зонах» спецпоселений, как правило, влача бедное существование под властью самодурства начальников спецкомендатур.
